Local 1211 News  Annul Picnic8/28/2005We held our Annual Picnic this year on Saturday, August 20th at Picnicana Park. It was a great morning for a picnic, sun shining and birds chirping. Kids enjoyed the clown and games, especially the piņata full of candy. Joe Herron kissed the blarney stone before attending, he won the Closest to the Pin Contest and 4th Annual Horseshoe tournament with partner Jeff Blackmond. The rain held off until late afternoon, just after all door prizes were awarded but did not dampen any of the spirits of those still attending. Attendance, before the rain, was at an all time high, especially among retirees. All had fun and plans are under way for next year's picnic to be there also. |
